Geography and Climate

Lake Manasarovar is located in the Ngari Prefecture of Tibet, China, at an elevation of approximately 4,590 meters above sea level. It lies close to the sacred Mount Kailash and is one of the highest freshwater lakes in the world. The region experiences a cold alpine climate with pleasant daytime temperatures during the yatra season and chilly nights throughout the year. The best time to visit is between May and September, when the weather is relatively stable and suitable for pilgrimage and trekking.

Arrival at Kathmandu International Airport. Meet our representative and transfer to the hotel. Evening free for relaxation followed by dinner and overnight stay in Kathmandu.
After breakfast, visit the sacred Pashupatinath Temple, Budhanilkantha Temple and other important pilgrimage sites. Attend the Kailash Manasarovar Yatra briefing in the evening and complete preparations for the journey.
Drive through scenic Himalayan landscapes to Rasuwagadi, the Nepal-Tibet border. Complete the day's journey and stay overnight near the border.
Complete immigration formalities and enter Tibet. Continue the drive to Kerung while enjoying spectacular mountain scenery. Overnight stay at Kerung.
After breakfast, drive across the Tibetan Plateau to Saga while witnessing breathtaking Himalayan landscapes, rivers, and vast open plains. Overnight stay at Saga.
